If you need to add days (for holidays etc) or deduct days (for unpaid leave etc) and need to calculate a daily rate, you can follow this suggestion. Employment law is quite complex, so we can only make suggestions. We would advise confirming days and rates with an employment law practioner. You may also find the following link useful:

The employee should be paid an amount calculated at the normal weekly rate or, as the case may be, at a rate proportionate to the normal weekly rate.

You will need to calculate the weekly rate from the annual salary, and then the daily rate.

For example, if the employee works 5 days per week:
annual salary / 52 = weekly rate
weekly salary / 5 = daily rate
